Random CTD Fighting the Senate

The year is 148bc i have been getting random ctd when fighting the senate..i have a numer of Legions at the bridge near rome: one on the bridge, i have faught a battle and defieted two of their legions and lost one of mine.Is there any reason why this is? i have got auto save off.
My specs
Athlon.64 dual core 3800.
2gig kingston Ram,
nvidia 7900GTX bliss,521mb.
windows,xp pro.

The civil war with the senate is kinda buggy. I don't think there is a solution for this other than to limit your battles with them per game.

1.5 isnt perfect, while fixing some bugs and errors there are some other random things that are a problem, for some reason the senate has more issues than the 1.3 Patch. When is the CTD in the battle, loading of the battle, or on the campagn map?

To me, it happened after the battle, going back to the stategy map.

Btw, Gary. Have you updated your AMD drivers?

Ferres I wonder if it was the Auxilia cav you had when you fought? I need to change all the names from 2 to new or something to be Safe. Some systems seem to have issues or it could be languages for some who use italian etc. versions. I have a neat loyalty patch I am going to release, I may just fix all the names with it also. BTW would you like to test out the loyalty patch and give me your opinion? If so PM me and I will send you the link. I know so far I really like it, and it adds to the game.

Even without the Aux cavalry the CTD still happens with senate battles. A good cause could be the size of the battle with 4 to 5 AI armies on the field. Besides, the Aux cav problem happens during battle loading not after the battle.

Yes that could be it, CA said the game can become unstable after a certain number of men on the field, due to engine limitations. I thought it was a regular one on One battle. I never try to take on 2 armies at once if I can help it.

The only thing I noticed on Senate was missions, with 1.5 Patch Senate missions being fulfilled sometimes randomly causes CTDs, funny thing is wait till the mission is up and then do the new mission and there is no crash. lol Really weird when you think of it since those missions are hardcoded. lol
