Improved Management Game
Hello All,
I just wanted to start up a discussion about something (not sure if this has been discussed already or not, if it has a mod can shut this thread down) that has concerned me for awhile with Total War games. I love Total War games, the battles, the campaigns, the epicness of it all, but one thing that has bothered me for awhile is the management and internal aspects of the games. While I understand the primary gameplay element of of the games is war and gritty battles, part of it, I feel, is also to ensure your empire/kingdom/nation prospers while you steamroll over others, and this comes from managing your empire properly. I, for one, would like to see a more in depth management system, maybe not so much from micromanaging but from say picking the right governors for provinces to maybe even being able to build unique structures in towns/cities/villages. I always enjoyed watching my cities flourish and grow, but after awhile they would all just become clones of one another. In a sense, I guess I would like variation to the regions, but dynamic variation as opposed to each region being the same each game. This would happen based off of a multitude of variables, how many times the city/region has gone to war, switched owners, what it has built, how far it has collapsed, who is the governor, etc etc. I mean, if we can't have a decent interaction with opposing AI it would be interesting to have that kind of dynamic inside of your empire as well. Any thoughts?

Re: Improved Management Game
Agreed. I understand the focus of the game, but let's be honest here: The TW campaigns are very simple as they are now, do we really need to streamline them even more? I'm not saying CA should attempt Paradox level of depth for the campaign, but some more complicated aspects would be appreciated (at the level most mods do, at least).

Agree, strategic elements of S2 were probably it's weakest aspect. Important strategic areas needed are more diplomacy, including between Rulers & Ruled OR Sub-factions - a strong trade system - Religions - Watching your city grow etc

Re: Improved Management Game
Agents really make the campaign side of things fun, hopefully they will be more developed than ever.
