Editing turns per year

I'm sorry for making all of these threads about mods, but I need some help. I just tried to download a mod On this site that put viruses on my computer. It was the 4 turn per year mod. Administrators, I think you should check that out.

That being said, is there a way I can go into the game file and edit the turns per year without downloading or installing a program? I honestly don't want to take a chance and get anymore viruses on my computer.

Update: I found a program that worked and it's called ESF Editor. I used version 1.4.8, but that doesn't work at all. It screwed up the campaign.. all of the flags are now France and the descriptions are all blank. I heard that v 1.4.6 works, but I can't seem to find it on this website... HELP??

You should report the post from where you downloaded the thing. Also it would help if you point us to that post to check out if it was a false positive. I don't think some one has the balls so square to dare to put viruses here.

Umm the file seems clean. What antivirus you use? And exactly which message displayed?

I use McAfee anti virus. When I clicked on the link, a message immediately popped up that said that viruses were on my computer. It scared me, so I had to do a full system scan to find any viruses or malware... luckily there weren't any on there. I'm never gonna click on a website like that again on this site.. I think I learned my lesson.
