Dealing with differnt typs of enemes

Some times I use to come up aginst certain units and not really know how to deal with them. I know pigs were suppose to be anti elephant but I never had pigs in my standing armys so I use Skirmishers, But how does one deal with Chariots with out suffering heavy losses? And my most hated enemy, the Horse Archer army, how do yall plan to deal with such things in you next Total war Game?

as far as horse archers went , i always had 5 units of archers with my armys, to try and kil those, now the HUNS were harder but i finaly lost enough armys to whitle them down to win
