Electronic-Techno/Trance/House/Etc.

In the last few months I have really gotten to love Electronic muisc alot more.

But I am kinda stuck on where else to go with it.

I dont know that many artist (if that what you call them? lol) that I like, so I was wondering if anyone had any good ones for me to look for, or just wanted to discuss it in general.

I know a few people so far.

-Benny Benassi
-John Digweed (a bit)

well try Paul van Dyke (you'll love his music), also Armin van Buuren,Tiesto, Ferry Corsten,Paul Oakenfold, Gabriel&Dresden, Sasha, check the tranceaddict comunity for the tips you'll find alot exelent tips where to continue..lol

livesets....you mean like the big black DJ style headphones?

If you want some interesting electronic stuff, check out the Aphex Twin.

Also, Eat Static (a bit old school) and Leftfield are good.

Ask yourself; why do you like it? Is it the beats or the melodies? do you like to dance at a club to it, or just get mashed and listen to it on your own?
Once you've figured that out, you'll know which direction to take it.

I dont go to clubs, I am too young, and most of the clubs that are likely to play techno (and the gay clubs ha) are more than an hour away anyway.

I really cant tell if I like beats or Melodies more, I like counter melodies? lol. I like it when music mixes both of them into one "sound". I dont know :hmmm:

And what exactly do you mean by mashed? High? I actually prefer electroinic music more when I am not, It gives me a headache when I am stoned

.....wow..damn this 56k connection. Hopefully for not much longer .


EDIT: Well I gave it a try. Its really great, I will be able to use it alot more and use it to its full potential whenever I get back on a highspeed connect. Great, thanks!.


BTW: Whats aacplus? Its at an even lower bit rate, which could help me because even the 32 rate is giving me to much buffer really.

EDIT: Oh, I guess I relized it was mp4 I suppose? I just installed Winamp and I am using that insted. Its a lower bit rate but sounds great, I guess I have never used a mp4. Wonderful.
