To INSTALL these animations follow these instructions.
Instructions
Make a backup of the descr_model_battle text you are about to modify.
( I am assuming that you've placed the pack.dat & idx + skeleton.dat & idx in the animations folder of the mod you want to implement them in; follow these steps...post in this thread for help)
Animations folder located in> RTW\(your mod folder)\data\animations
Open up your DMB (descr_model_battle.txt). Found in
RTW\(mod folder)\data
copy the skeleton(s) you wish to have in your mod from suggested skeleton usage or the skeleton list.
skeleton(s)=bolded part.
And then for to get them into the DMB use notepads replace tool. found in Edit>Replace.
To use the Replace Tool: Type in or paste in the skeleton that you wish to replace in the
find section.
Type or paste the skeleton you wish to replace it with (a skeleton for this animations pack, e.g. fs2hbill) into the replace section. then click replace and save.
-shield positioning back to RTW (rome medieval animations weren't designed for RTW models)
- new attack animations or replacements for existing ones
- Skeleton wide tweaks to idle animations and changes too stand ready positions
- RTW running back in
- changes to the shield positions for spearmen
- changes to the attack variations for swordsmen
- reduced frequency of a specific animation for swordsmen
- bug fix for horse swordsmen idle animations
- update too swordsmen idle animations (no more christian cross animation with their swords)
- additional attack variations for horse spearmen and replacements
- some replacements and additions to spearmen attack animations
- additional bugfixes and new revised animations
And much much more.

Suggested Skeleton Usage
fs_thp_f_spearman** all pikemen, has slight and perhaps unnoticeable bug but looks best
fs_thp_f_spearman_p** alternate if you happen to notice the unnoticeable bug
fs_RM_hc_swordsman ** horse swordsmen
fs_swordsman_shield ** swordmen/daggermen
fs_spearman_shield ** spearmen
fs_RM_hc_archer ** horse archers, warning may not work with some models which have large shields
fs_RM_javelinman ** javelinmen/pilummen
fs_archer_sidebag_right ** archers
fs_2hsw ** 2h swords
fs_hc_glaive_swing ** horse spearmen
fs_s1_hoplite ** hoplites (a small animation rework to this)
fs_o_f_spearman ** alternate hoplites spear must be reversed from vanilla spear placement
fs_gladius** gladius users or short sword stabbing elites/imiatation legions
fs_2hsw ** 2h swords
fs_2hbill **l long polearm like units **naginta's,large 2h falx's etc (for falx's 2hsw may be better)
fs_hc_glaive_swing or fs_Prome_hc_spearman ** can use either (depending on preference) for horse spearman units
Permission
The RM:K part is still public release as is SigniferOne's part. For the EB animations part you will have to talk to Alin or an EB animations team member. And also speak to Prometheus about permission. Cheers guys.

In the next version I will be replacing some of the attack animations for the swordsmen. Since some of the attack animations only look good for heavy armoured units. No light swordsman would leave himself that open for some of the attack animations. It will also include a bug fix the current idle animations of horse swordsmen. I will be patching it up and testing a few things. will be tweaking a few attack animations for the horse swordsmen and looking at one of the horse spearmen ones. cheers guys.
swordsmen idle animations fixed, (no more swordsmen doing a christian cross across themselves with their swords). 2 new variations to attack animations for swordsmen, much decreased the frequency of use for the attack animation I have dubbed "slashing diagonally to the right and not covering yourself with your shield" I left the opposite attack variation of the latter animation in since it fits in perfectly. Bug fix for the horse swordsmen in. Small update to shield positions for spearmen and variation to their attack. I think I've covered everything but I'm not entirely sure
Screenies can't really capture the improvement... maybe I do some movie and upload it but got not much time at the moment maybe someone else can do a little clip and upload?

interestingly enough this is the first time I've ever uploaded or even taken a video of RTW..hope it will suffice, but to be honest changes are better seen in game.
Very nice, which ones are being featured? I noticed the two handed axe animation, and the two handed pike animation. what were the others? I thought I saw a relaxed spear animation.
I'm guessing that was your private mod? Looks very nice!
