    Default Campaign Script?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but shouldn't the adviser come up at the beginning of the campaign to start a script? They aren't showing up for me, even when its the first time loading up the game. Could this be a sign of a flawed install? Am I missing something if this doesn't happen?

For most factions the script is activated automatically at the beginning of a campaign--at least that is my experience. Have you checked your treasury to see if the 1 denarius is added? You should have 5001k and that will let you know the script is working. When loading a saved game make sure you are loading for the first time from the original launch of RSII (i.e. for everytime you want to load a save, even when exiting the game to the main menu, you need to exit to desktop and then re-launch RSII. Then click on a Settlement, anyone that you own, and the advisor portrait will pop up; click on that and check to see if the 1 denarius was added to your treasury.)

Yes, you would not only be missing important gameplay if the script isn't on, but you could also run into various muckiness such as CTD's and such.

Let me know if this didn't work and we can figure out if it was really a flawed install, problems, etc.

Also post in the Technical Help section if the above didn't work- these are the rules for that section click

If the script isn't starting up automatically, try clicking on a settlement you own when you first load the game. The adviser should "flicker" as an indication of the script starting up.

In case that doesn't work, you should try posting in the Technical Help section that Tar mentions above.
