I loved RTW I. Let them re-release it as RTWII.
Under the patronage of Emperor Maximinus Thrax
"Steps to be taken in case Russia should be forced out of war considered. Various movements [of ] troops to and from different fronts necessary to meeting possible contingencies discussed. Conference also weighed political, economic, and moral effect both upon Central and Allied powers under most unfavorable aspect from Allied point of view. General conclusions reached were necessity for adoption of purely defensive attitude on all secondary fronts and withdrawing surplus troops for duty on western front. By thus strengthening western front [those attending] believed Allies could hold until American forces arrive in numbers sufficient to gain ascendancy."
~General Pershing, report to Washington, 26 July 1917
This has been asked before, but anyways. I would like a mixture of both the classic music and some newly made songs.
Take one or two of the most liked songs from Rome 1 as a nod to it, but that is all I'd say.
Like Neverwinter Nights? Wondering where to go now that the old NWN Vault is gone? Come visit the new one at http://neverwintervault.org/!
I would like something totally new for RTW2 or better yet, I would love it if Music was modifiable.
They could probably keep the overall ambient tones the similar but updated, like what Bethesda does for its elder scrolls series..
There were a lot of great music pieces in RTW, so I wouldn't mind if they put some of them again in game. But they must make a new soundtrack.
Vale,
Strategos Alexandros
P.S. Would you please point out if I make any grammatical or spelling errors? It would be very much appreciated. I will rep+ you if you can also explain the error to me.
Yeah, a new soundtrack is a must as long as it is as epic as that of Rome one. If the game is supposed to "feel new" and "reinvent" some features of Total War, adding old music would, in my eyes at least, contradict that goal.
ya XD
I don't mind a bit of classical style music for campaign but in battle.. Give me music that sounds like two forces, one from heaven the other from hell are fighting an enternal battle! I wan't epicness I want two steps from hell lol.

The Soldiers' Chant has absolutely got to make it in! That tune embedded itself in my head - I found myself humming it (or singing gibberish lyrics for it) at random!
And thanks to Rome 2's announcement, it's happened all over again!!!Best TW track ever - I will be tempted to commit seppuku if CA don't include it!
(Not really.)

Soldier's Chant. It's indeed the Best song in RTW IMO.
However, they can both recycle old songs and use new ones. Just using like.. remixes etc. Like Skyrim did with some Morrowind Tunes.
I hope some of the songs return in this marvelous game.
They should do similar update what BF3 music was from BF2 music.
Apologies for anyone who's message i may miss or not be able to answer
I hope they keep some of the tracks, perhaps even redone, with a healthy amount of new recordings added in. Much as I loved the music, when you played for a long time (and I certainly played for a looonngggg time!) it did start to get repetitive. CA, don't skimp on the music!
And, even more importantly, have the files as mp3s or something, so we can play them outside the gameI always like it when companies do that.
