Cheers DM playersI know that DM is recommended to play on large (the highest - 240 men in warband unit e.g.) unit scale, but I myself am playing on huge 120 men in warband for instance (my comp lags crazy at large). Darth made great unit scale adjustments for large unit scale, but I'm afraid it doesn't fit for huge one, at least for me - you know it's very odd seing hastati unit 10 rows deep looks really odd and is easily flanked, cuz it doesnt cover wider area.
So I made my own unit depth formation adjustments to fit personal playing style. The file is export_descr_units in data folder For example, I made all legionaires 5 rows deep (80 men unit), all skirmishers and barb warbands are set to 6 row deep (they have more men in unit; skirmishers are more mobile in skirmishing);
HAs 5-6 rows deep to keep them more mobile; cavalry to 3-4; phalanxes 6 rows, pikemen 8 row deep; slingers/archers to 6 ranks for mobility - in RTW there are no missile penalties for ranged units like it was in MTW so why I have to stretch them so wide, but I'm wondering do they suffer from arrows (cuz tighter formation) and cav charges more? Plz clarify my doubts :hmmm: and enlighten ummm I mean endarken me with dark force lol :tooth: oh Dark Lord Darth
