Why? when u can't adopt?

I have also an other question: is it possible to marry bothers or only daimyo/sons?

i believe you have to have a certain amount of fame before you can do things like that.. you probably can only give one commission to a general right now? later there will be several

No, man, he's talking about adoptions, not comissions in FotS.

On topic: You can't adopt when your daimyo already has the maximum number of children, which is 5. Over 5 children is a no go to adoptions.
In this case, the only way you can adopt a general is if you have a daughter who's at the age for marriage, by marrying her to the general.

I can't answer that, but there might be a way. (It's just a thought I've just had.)

If you have a brother, go to diplomacy tab and see if there's a clan that can "arrange marriage".
If all your sons are married, the girl you just got should become the wife of the brother.
If he gets one of those wife traits (Loyal, Greedy, Beautiful Wife), you've just married him. If not, that's a "no" for your question.

No, you can adopt him both ways, direct adoption or "marriage adoption". Both options are/should be available. I just checked it

Yep, a bug. Like i said, you can get up to 5 children.
I guess all you have yo do is marry those 3 girls.

You can have infinte marriages through diplomacy, there are surely lots of virtual cousins, nephews and whatnots in the daimyo's family who aren't shown in the family tree.

I know the wives don't appear for brothers, that's why I said you should check if the brother will get any marriage related trait.
