Lagging on FOTS, Vanilla Shogun 2 or both?

that cpu paired with that gpu is a big bottleneck. (unless ofc it's a laptop).

do yourself a favour and get a decent quad up to around 4ghz then you'll see a much healthier framerate.

well link the parts and i'll let u know...

get a processor you can overclock (worth spending a bit extra for something that does 4ghz+ relatively easily). dont buy pre-built.

p.s well it does seem strange if shogun2 wasnt lagging but i know for a fact your current cpu is weak your gpu good. mismatch which isnt good in pc terms.

also i got a micro mb since the atx version of what i got seemed like the only difference was that it was worse in terms of the onboard graphics which didnt matter since i have a beast card

You could run it at 3.3 if you wanted, but they mean for you to OC them, so its kind of a waste to leave it there. You could easily get more performance out of it, and you want buffer room so you don't have noticeable frame dips during processor-intensive moments. One thing you need to check to make sure of is that your motherboard is compatible with the ivybridge chips, as it may not be.

It indeed is possible to overclock this model, but with the speed it has quad 3.3(3.7 turbo boost) it shouldn't need to be overclocked would it? and i opted for a micro because the atx did not have any features I would care about. I believe the only difference was the onboard graphics and its connections which wont matter with a 570. Am I correct with this?

The board is compatible, and The processor actually goes to 3.7 which i believe with an aftermarket fan to cool it that it will be turbo boosted to 3.7 almost always.
