Can you give an option to just watch how the game progress without even playing any faction.I used to this in rome, medieval 2,europa universalis etc by choosing an unimportant faction.I am talking about a spectator mod.

Would there really be much point? I presume you want this to gauge the strengths of the
different factions, but if R2 will be anything like Shogun 2, different factions will rise to
power each time so it'll be very difficult to tell.
Also, you could just play as britain instead (if they're playable).
Didn't people just do this to make sure their mod wouldn't crash the game at a certain date? I didn't think people actually thought that was enjoyable.
EDIT: paradox games were kind of fun to turn off fog of war and watch wars while you were developing your economy or whatever, but that's a little different.
That... makes an awful lot more sense. I just thought people did that sort of thing because they somehow enjoyed it.
Why not same ability, but you can fight ANY battle on ANY side + game would advance realisticly?
Apologies for anyone who's message i may miss or not be able to answer
I would really like it if you could see the progress of the other factions in your game at the end of it. Just a simple graph showing the various stats over the campaign accompanied by their conquests/losses and big victories/defeats, big political shake-ups and any great technological/economical achievements. This could play out on a map or just as statistics but it would be cool to be able to see the stories of the other factions.
It would be cool to do this with the option of jumping in the game at any time, say, 70 years after the start, pick a faction you like their situation.
Correct, people mostly used this feature in order to see that the game doesn't crashes at some date, but also to see if they made some faction too strong or too weak in the mod.Didn't people just do this to make sure their mod wouldn't crash the game at a certain date? I didn't think people actually thought that was enjoyable.
