Default Question on old units post-reform

    Hello,

I'm new to EB, and I'm playing as the Romani.

I just got the Polybian reforms, and other than not upgrading some of my MICs, how do I keep my Camillan units able to be retrained?

    Thank you.

Im pretty sure the only way it is possible is to not upgrade some MICs.

I see....so if I had to keep the whole Camillan line of recruitment then I have to max out one MIC before the Polybian reforms....

    Thanks!

Even if you maxed out MIC in a city, it will still get an option to upgrade when you reach the reform.

You could just set the polybian reforms so far in the game that you'll never get them.

No, I want to play with Camillan, Polybian, Marian, and Augustinian units in the same army.

Then each time you go through a reform, leave at least one city with the old barracks and don't upgrade it to the barracks for the latest reform, so that you can always recruit and retrain troops from a particular era somewhere in your republic/empire... if you so desire.

Thanks guys, that's what I'm doing right now.

Then I noticed the Marian reforms purposely damages the old buildings....good thing I figured out EBBS (aka EB's script) and changed that so it won't damage the ld buildings.

If anyone wants a copy of the script please tell me....if they like having Camillan, Polybian, and Marian reform units together.

Is it fine if I also changed the Marian reform from 90 settlements to 50?

I think I can change this easily back without having to look too deeply into the script.

    Thanks, I reverted line 56793:

    and I_NumberOfSettlements seleucid > 49

    to

    and I_NumberOfSettlements seleucid > 89

PS. Noticed that the victory conditions for all players had been changed as well and no longer require 198 conquered regions.

Meant to say that in your version nobody can win unless he conquered all ...
