    Default Capuan campaign question

Heya folks! So I was wondering, if you play as Capua and manage to take Akagras, and Rome, will you be able to make the Marian Reforms and make named and numbered Legions? Or is that just for the Romans?

    Thanks!

I believe it is not possible for the Capua faction to have the Marian reforms and also they do not have the named and numbered legions.

No, it's just for the Romans.

Everyone has aksed this question and sadly it cannot be done, the RS team will have to rewrite an entire AOR for the capua faction to have marian reforms. So basically you will be conquering the romans and the rest of the world with the units you have at the beginning.

pretty much if you love republicans but hate legionnaires ala ceasers time (god knows why you would) then capua is for you.

Well, it's more a case of 'what might have been'.

Perhaps Capua, perhaps initially allied with the Carthaginians, would have developed differently and preserved the original Republican ideas.....

The real point is that Capua is not Rome - ergo no Roman Legions - just Capuan ones.....

I believe the script works differently for when the AI is Rome. Marian reforms will trigger when any one of their settlements gets the Imperial Palace.

I asked this question once, looked through the Capuan edu, and thought that the 'Thrace' (Capua) reference in every legion ownership line meant that Capua could recruit Legions.
Before starting a capuan campaign I posted in the questions and answers thread (where I had posted the question), that I was convinced that Capua got the whole deal, for some reason no one was prepared to save me from my illusion, now I've played through half a Capuan campaign for nothing...
"The only question that remained was whether the founders knew the final result of their creation, or if they themselves where the victims of a misunderstanding.
In the latter case it was the duty of any thinking human, to press himself into the front of this depraved movement, to perhaps still prevent the extreme, in the former case the founders of this peoples disease must have been true devils; for only in the brain of a monster - not of a human - could the plan for an organisation take meaningfull form, whose purpose must lead toward the end result of a collapse of human culture and thus to the desolation of the world.
In this case only battle remained as a means of final delivery, battle with any weapons that the human mind, intellect and will are able to comprehend, regardless, of whom fate would gift with it's blessing."

    haha thats too bad,

Yeah, I am already getting bored of using the republic armies...I want Imperial troops but Akragas' population is going up SO SLOWLY! It even has +3% pop gain but its hardly doing anything! Even after building the farms and population growth buildings....GRRRR
