    Default Whats your fastest time/difficulty?

I just beat the campaign on VH/VH in 32 turns... below are some screenshots. Whats your best time/difficulty? I'm in the process of writing up a more detailed guide to how I accomplished this task.

Here are the 5 famous battles I was in... following their times, you can get an idea of how quickly I moved across the map, and where I got held up (such as at Issus):

My next to last battle (I put these battle result images in so no one doubts my generalship abilities)

The results of the seige that took the last Dahae city I needed:

And my scroll before taking the last province:

I know the first question is going to be how many times I saved and loaded a lost battle... not many times, TBH. I lost more than a couple legitimate battles. However, if I lost a battle based on flagrantly bad AI, I would restart. I wouldn't do things like try a battle, fail, load, and then not play it, though... I tried to take a very honest approach to the entire campaign. The other times I would restart is for campaign map problems (such as saying I had enough movement points, and I did not, or testing how far I could go, etc... no bugs/cheats/hoping for changed enemy army movement/ambushed. You're just going to have to take me by my word.
Maybe if someone gets around to changing the music/speeches and some skins, I'll play it again and try for an even better score.

So, what is your fasted completion time/difficulty?

i beat it. but i dont have screenies. i didnt have to save once and i beat it in 47 turns on vh/vh. the only reason i probibly didnt have to restart is because the AI is retarded. oh and i finished with 31 provinces. conquered a couple out of order.

Blimey I'm impressed, you make my 60 or so turn campaigns, at M/M, seem like leisurely Sunday afternoon strolls with the vicar.

I'd be interested to know if you followed Alexander's historical route, or if you sent minions to take care of Syria, Egypt and Libya, because that's what I am thinking of doing the next time I amble along in Alex's footsteps.

    @Lusted

I'm really looking forward to your Alexandros mod, any guesstimates as to a time-frame?

There could be a packet of wine gums in it for you.

Holy jumpin' Jesus, I can't believe how fast you guys are. I've beaten it twice and it took almost 90 turns both times, although the second time I was trying to avoid an "Alexander the Butcher" title by not using massacres to thin down city populations after capturing settlements.

the title goes away if you win enough. I had alexander the mighty as my title.
Sure I've been called a xenophobe, but the truth is Im not. I honestly feel that America is the best country and all other countries aren't as good. That used to be called patriotism.

I had Alexander the Cunning when I finished (I noticed he changed to Butcher around Persepolis). Did anyone else notice that their Alexander picked up a ton of negative traits once he takes Babylon and Persepolis (mirroring the real Alexander)? He actually dropped significantly in Command and Influence.

I've given it a month and a half, so I figured, let me see if anyone else has met my time goal.

I'd be interested to know if you followed Alexander's historical route, or if you sent minions to take care of Syria, Egypt and Libya, because that's what I am thinking of doing the next time I amble along in Alex's footsteps.
Because of Alexander's importance as a general and a battle unit, I had to keep him at the spearhead of my forces. Sometimes this even meant pushing forward and leaving my flanks open, such as at Issus.
I knew there were two Persian armies in the Syrian/Egyptian area, but instead I pushed forward with Alexander towards Babylon, and left other armies and generals (by this time generals started rolling in by defeating Rebels) to guard my flanks when their army was ready. By the time I took (Alexandria), I think Alexander himself was way past Persepolis. You need to do this in order to make good time, or Alexander's unit will be playing catch-up for a large portion of the campaign to reach your forces in Asia (if you choose to send 'minions' to conqeur east as your conquer south). And if you don't send our an army to conquer East, its very possible your economy will fall apart because there will be a big time span from conquering Egypt to bringing your armies up to the front lines again.
Additionally, if you strike South instead of East after Issus, you are creating a giant border to protect. By heading towards Babylon and Persepolis, you cut off any Persian/rebel armies at a bottleneck.
And Lusted, I'd be very interested in another time trial like this with your mod.
