ENB Campaign map issue

I've installed the ENB mod for Medieval 2 lately. My settings are high right now and the battles play out smoothly and normally with this addon. However, when starting the campaign, the map suffers extremely from bad FPS rates. It's horrifying to witness.

I noticed there was another post on this but I'm not exactly sure how he ended up solving his problem though it was the exact same as mine. So far I've updated a graphics driver and I'm going to get around to updating the .NET framework. I wondering if there is anything I'm missing since so far even updating the driver has not wroked. Any ideas?

There are places on the campaign map that will lag badly on high, namely, Alps, Black Forest, large cities, etc.

The campaign never did this until I installed the ENB. The other post I mentioned you actaully answered. The ENB is obviously the culprit here.

Plus it lags everywhere, I use this with mods as well so it can't be blamed on locations.

The difference here is that we have the GPU of Massive_attack to look at. We have no idea what graphics card you're using. The truth is that there is no magic bullet to fix a given problem with CA games - all solutions with hardware ultimately have to be based on the user's system.

Try dropping your DxDiag log on us and maybe we'll see something to help push you forward. Good luck in the meantime!

It's on par with the old 240m of which is a rebranded 140m of which is the old 9600m and about like the old desktop 9400. My old beatup 9800GT will run circles around it.

Disabling the internal graphics chip of the i5 in BIOS or Device Manager may give the 55ov a little more oomph.

Jesus. How would one go about doing that? I know device manager and such but what would it be under. I don't want to disable something important. Never would have thought it would be the graphics chip. I'd have thousands of men on high settings with this ENB on the battle map but the campaign map moves the same exact way in the other thread.

If this this doesn't go according to plan could the chip be enabled again? For future reference is all...

In Device Manager, under graphics, you should have both chips listed. I don't own a sandybridge to tell you past this. I also read in The Basement another member had to disable it in the BIOS for BF3. It seems to depend on the manufacturer.

There is nothing for you to disable - that 550v is your only video adapter. Needless to say that disabling it would be a bad idea....

I'm not familiar with the ENB mod. What does it stand for and what does do? Is it a map mod with new textures? As it stands your best bet is to do what irishron suggested - take this to their forum if they're still around. Good luck!

I'm beginning to think it is not my computers fault. It's something about the presence of the mod itself that just destroys the FPS of the campaign map.

In the one I downloaded and in the third link, it has been exposed that the mod does something to the campaign map FPS and both OPs have said that they have no idea how to solve it, I'm not sure on the second link. There are some thread of people having the same problem but for some reason Massive_attack is the only person who has declared that he has been able to solve the problem. I think I should just uninstall it, because it refuses to work.
