Fast and easy way to compare MP units?

So there are guides that try to explain how to edit or create units: 1 2
Maybe I'm not putting enough effort into it, maybe they're to fancy: I can't really figure out how to do the very simplest thing.

As I'm the theorycraft guy I try to compare units very often, in this case namely if a certain unit upgrade is worth it. As I don't want to spend clan tokens/skills point I'd like to be able to test it out with a mod.

Let's say I want to test a FotS Yari Ki with 24 Attack/10 Defense vs a FotS Yari Ki with 18 Attack/10 Defense.

What Is the easiest way to create a new, or dublicate and edit a certain unit so that I can recreate the battle as shown above?
