any plans to make this mod start back when alexander was alive? i think it would be really cool if you could relive alexanders campaign. Reason i dont get Alexander Total war is because i heard it really sucked, so maybe all you would have to do is edit the starting time and add some more historic family members for macedonia and give whatever faction represents persia a large starting force. BTW, will the map ever expand into india? it just seems to barly get india in there. What faction represents persia? i know that by the time the game starts persia was conquored by alexander but im sure theres a faction to sort of represent them, so who are they?

starting at alexander's time would require seleucids and ptolemies to be deleted. these empires were formed after alexander's death. the successor of Achemenid Persia is Parthia- formed by northern iranian tribes. the real successor of ancient persia are the sassanids who came after the game end so what you suggest would require making entirely new mod.

Kara Kolyo is right - stretching things back to 335 BC would require a complete re-write of the map, with many factions removed and units changed. I think your best bet is to wait for someone to make a mod that improves the Alexander expansion.

i supose so, just watching the movie alexander made me want to do that i supose ill just be the GCS's and expand east (i supose the GCS's have way better units the macedonia so ill pretend GCS's are macedonia :original: )
