DIY Waterproofing
So I need to waterproof a digital AM/FM radio. The materials I have at hand are a limited supply of sealants and glues. My question is, would Silicone Sealant (to be specific, GE Silicone II Door & Window, the kind that doesn't produce acetic acid while curing) be suitable for sealing a digital radio? I'm worried about hazardous materials being produced by sealant while it is curing and the fact that GE Silicone has a bad rap for being quite messy and hard to deal with. Or should I just go the extra mile and spend $50 on electronics-grade sealant?

Don't they sell waterproof portable radios? Or is this for some project.
