Default Where are these units recruited?

I'm trying to get units like the Templar Guard, Templar Longbowmen, and King's Men, but I can't seem to find where they are recruited/which building they come from.

Also, what Catholicism % is needed to recruit Templars?

also again: Does having more priests in a settlement increase the conversion rate?

Templar Guard requires the highest level castle barracks. It also requires the full plate armor event, which happens in 1380. They also can only be recruited in Edessa, Antioch, Damascus, Acre, Jerusalem, Gaza, or Kerak.
Templar Longbowmen requires the highest level castle archery range as well as the transitional armor event, which happens in 1240.
King's Men cannot be recruited by Kingdom of Jerusalem.

There are no religion level restrictions.

    Yes
I meant King's Men for England.
    1380? Long ways away

If there are no restrictions why do my various Templar units restart the turn countdown for availability? Whenever they get down to the turn they should be recruitable it resets.

    And what about Edessan Knights/Guard?

Look in export_descr_buildings. I don't want to look up every single unit in the game.

I will, thanks, but my other question still stands.

    1. Look in export_descr_buildings. Templar Guard 1380, Templar Longbowmen 1380 for Crusaders, King's Men 1300 for England IIRC.

    2. Guess you have BGR enabled, so, it does depend on your faction zeal (balance of power, yeah ?): Low: 70%, Moderate 80%, High 90%, Very High 95% IIRC

    3. NO, hiding your priest in a settlement will not improve conversion greatly, if you want to convert region faster better move your priests outside the walls, let them work on the campaign map instead the settlement. For the best results, use 3-4 priests in the ONE region for faster conversion rate.
If your priest are weak (in terms of piety) better keep a skilled assassin around or high piety cardinal

I've been looking for ways to increase zeal but I can't seem to do it successfully.

More regions under your banner = higher zeal bud. Bigger empire = bigger problem
Guess, you're playing Crusader States Campaign, well, recruit as much cavalry as possible (you've some AP cav as well) then build a fleet and train few spies. Then raid/capture enemy coastial regions and you're at home mate But, if you want some serious challenge i would sell all the settlements except Nicosia and go for Constantinople. Turtle a bit there, take these greek towns and face the enemy then, much more fun imho. Well, the AOR special units are lost but let your King rule Corinth and you should be able to recruit Dismouted Lazarius Knights . One stack and a reliable fleet should do the work No middle eastern infantry would stop them until 1300. [Khwarezmians got Dismounted Imperial Guard @1310 - these guys are ASOLUTELY the best infantry on SS, no AI can stop them in big numbers].

    Thanks for the advice.
Last question: I'm in export_descr_buildings and I don't see anything resembling a year of unlock.

He meant more regions = less zeal.

Events denote unit availability and event dates are in descr_events.txt
