Hero units will be completely rebalanced, as will the Octo Riders and every other unit.

I'm just making sure that I get the right details about each unit so that the combat is realistic and balanced.

I'm assuming that units like Darknut Dishonoured will have armour piercing. Would I be correct to make such an assumption?

Units with axes, maces, pick axes, etc. will all have armor piercing

by the way pilgrim. What does the "Effective Against Armor" trait for a unit actually do? In terms of dmg calculation. Does it ignore a percentage of their targets armor? Or the entire thing? Or does it do more damage to more heavily armored units?

If I understand the calculation correctly, "effective against armor" is a hardcoded property that means that attacks ignore one half of the listed "defense from armor" value.

It "ignores" 50% of the enemy unit's armor and shield values.

Thanks guy's. so if you have, say 9 att. Does that make you do as much damage as if you had 13? Since I guess Removing half of their armor is the same as adding half of your attack rating.

No no. It's still 9 attack, it's just that the enemy unit's armor and shield values are lowered.

For example, a unit with 8 armor and 4 shield will have an armor of 4 and a shield of 2 when fighting an ap unit.

I believe the Gerudadorf are supposed to be the bosses in the Gerudo fortress. I may be wrong though.

    It's going well.

I just have a bunch of College stuff to worry about right now, so this has been put on hold for a bit.

Ok, for the new faction, the River Zora, I'll be needing some specifics here.

How tough are the females' scales and how tough are the males'? Compared to standard armors, or even the Lizalfos, what would their durability be like?

What are the physical strengths of the River Zora? Are the females as strong or stronger than the standard Zora? How about the males? What are they more akin to?

Faction tactics are, I'm presuming, to rush and overwhelm the enemy with ferocity? Perhaps a little guerrilla warfare, but no deep and cunning military strategies?

I personally think the River Zora get a bad rap. I like to think of them more like Native Americans.

    EDIT:

Tribal and territorial, but not savage beasts like they come off as.

As for the scales, I'd say the males are tougher than the females, generally because that's the way things go in nature alot of the time, but it'd be a just as fine the other way around.

Compared to the Lizaflos and standard armor I would say it would be lesser. They seem like creatures that would rely on quickly ending a battle with Geurilla and Scare tactics.

    - Both female and male River Zoras are stronger, faster, and more durable then normal Zoras.
    - River Zoras have crap armor compared to normal Zoras.
    - Probably the faction intended for the most guerrilla use, even more then Deku Tribes. I imagine them being really good at using a handful of units to engage in combat, pull out and run, get the enemy to follow them, and then have more units follow up from behind and surround on all sides. Speed is pretty important.

    EDIT:
I do picture the River Zora as a very savage race. If there was a race in HTW that I picture similar to some Native American tribes it would be the Lizalfos.

Does anyone else think the peahat should have a bonus against calvary. I mean they have long spike connected to their bodies that would be devestating to any calvary. Those are just my thoughts though.

So the whole "Cannibals" "Manhunters" and "Swampmen" thing don't alert you that they might actually be PRETTY damn savage?
