    Default Shogun 2 Steam sale.

Shogun 2 is currently 75% off on steam for anyone who hasn't picked it up.

Strangely DLC is only 40% off... not sure why, Fots factions are still too expensive imo.

Still overpriced for FOTS DLCs. You have to try better CA.

Have to agree this time around. Was a bit disappointed but not enough to give any more money for so little "content" in those DLC...

I bought the FOTS expansion. Do I only need to download total war shogun 2 and the FOTS comes with it?
    (I've had the shogun 2 since it's release )

    Yes.

FOTS and S2 share the same resources. You simply unlock different features of the same game with a FOTS/S2 key.

And yes, clans are still way overpriced, lol. No money from me. Not going to pay 2 Euros just for a clan which is only a different color and some database table entries.

Definitely still too much for faction packs.

Did the same for Arma II.

Just you wait until you get a 90% off and all DLCs for free deal in a few days

I've been tracking FoTS for a long time, waiting for a Steam sale, but in the end I saw it for £9.99 at amazon, limited edition - so got it there. Saved a few quid.

At least recent games, or anything you've bought on Steam.
You ALREADY got EVERYTHING with the purchase of Shogun 2. You just had to pay more money to unlock what was already on your hard drive.

Seriously, even on sale, $12 for FoTS clan DLC for a game that is $15?

Curse you if you're a satisfied customer
Ah - that explains why nothing was downloaded when I used my RoTS PC Gamer code - and nothing downloaded when I bought the Blood pack. That's not exactly playing fair, Mr Games Developer - paying for something completely new is one thing, but paying for something that's already included in the damn game but is locked is something completely different!

Quick question, is Shogun2, FOTS and rise of the samurai worth 25 euros?

Considering Valve asks for 1.49 Euro for a flag on your robot (you'll hardly even get to see), that puts 2 Euros for an additional playable faction into perspective...

Frankly Shogun 2 and FOTS were worth the full price when they came out, so at steam sale prices it's a pretty amazing bargin.

I bought FotS from Amazon for $15 last night. When I saw this sale up today I was pissed, but then I saw it was the same price

I ended up finally buying RotS and Hattori clan pack. I love Steam so much.

    Agree with jonny duck

Just bought FotS finally for half the price. I also got the faction packs. Everything together was still less than initial FotS price. Delayed gratification is what's it all about, folks

Same here. I also got the DLC's for SHOGUN 2 (I already owned the game). I have yet to buy Rise of The Samurai, though it doesn't look to appealing. I know the clans were way overpriced, but oh well getting money for games actually comes quite easy for me (most of the time)...and I do not want many games. I still have quite a bit of money left over to buy games and I have no idea what to spend.

    SturmChurro,

I enjoyed Rise of the Samurai. It played differently and the music damn, the music I liked better. It seemed like a simpler, more casual experience than S2 main campaign. I liked the new agents and the family affiliation replacing religion. I also liked having a powerful same-family ally to begin with, though I particularly perked up at some families fighting each other once one or the other general got too powerful and cocky.

Also, I like bows and early samurai were better archers and horse archers traditionally than melee soldiers. If you don't like using bows, then yeah you wouldn't enjoy RotS, but I know I did.

I do use bow units extensively in Shogun 2 (more in campaign than in Multiplayer) I bring them and matchlock units. The AI always seems to insist on camping on a hill, though it cannot really manage it's troops well. My bows clean up theirs in a heartbeat. Literally obliterating their units. I still don't know if I would get it, but it is only like 2$ on Steam right now.

double post I meant to put this in my last post. How thoughtless I am today.

Does buying Rise of the Samurai unlock more units (i.e. The rise of the samurai units) for use in multiplayer? If so, another reason to buy it if you enjoy multiplayer. Some of the units are a bit meh, but you do get Tetsubo Warrior Monks.

Most of my time has been spent playing multiplayer. Though, I think the match finding is a bit imbalanced.
