Neutral clans raiding my trade route

Hi
If a neutral clan is sitting on one of my trade routes (which I assume is to get his enemy's trade), is my trade also gathered by him?

Well it's your trade partner getting raided, so yeah the money you would be getting from him is being taken.

Ok. Also after realm divide and everyone goes against me, is it a good idea to allow Christian influence so that I can trade with the europeans?

If you convert to christianity you cant really "trade" with Europeans, there´s no boost in trade income. But you can build a Namban quarter where you can recruit Matchlocks (you also get to recruit them faster and I think even cheaper than usual) and European cannons.

But what´s far more important: You can use your missionaries (Christian monks, you´ll lose all Buddhist monks) to incite unrest in Buddhist provinces, meaning pretty much everywhere. That´s cheap and spawns full stack of rebels who are giving your foes a lot of trouble. It´s pretty op imho but then again you´ll need all help you can get when RD kicks in...

it has been a while since i played vanilla, but if you want to convert to christianity, its best to do it as early as possible. The drop in honour of your dyamo, and the unrest that and the conversion brings, is something you want to get over as quickly as possible. And certainly not something that you want during realm divide.

Cant monks incite unrest anyway?

They can, but the chance of success depends on the province´s faith: Monks/Missionaries will incite unrest easier if the religion they support is being suppressed, that is, if the major part (if not all) of the population have a different belief than the one they support.

It´s completely different from FotS where the odds for Shishi and Shinsengumi to incite a rebellion rise with the influence they support.
