The function to buy your general new equipment?

Never really played multiplayer in Shogun so I always wondered if in sequels they could implement the customizable avatar armor in the campaign for your generals/family members. Sure it's nothing that could make the game but it would add an ideal role playing aspect that will probably serve as the foundation for more.

Obviously CA will give each historical character their custom armor and face as they should but it would add so much more if you could shape your general to look and feel the way you want him to. Even if the armor is unlocked through a hierarchical format it would still add to the game's lore, or I definitely think it would since a legatus was usually a patrician that had the funds to buy tailor-made equipment ranging from a variety of exquisite designs.

That's... quite a difficult prospect especially if the campaign starts around 280-70. It should be possible for some characters.

If they made a fall of the republic, rise of the empire dlc campaign, they should have custom historical characters galore.

I don't like this idea a lot. because the pimping would get silly pretty fast.
U can pimp your heraldry in the game from my sig though.

If I have a province that allows for better armor and my general has an older version I'd like to be able to send him there and re-equip him with the new set of gear.

Infact I'd like to be able to do this with all my troops.

Generals were great in the original games, no need to ruin something that worked with superfluous nonsense.

While this sound good I would prefer the whole army get equipment changes especially after certain events like Romans changing their gladius types after wars with the Iberian tribes, greeks changing their army types from macedonian phalanx etc after encounters (and defeats) by Romans etc, as long as does not deviate too much from the what if scenario.

I'm hoping there will be unique model on the campaign and battle map for the great leaders like Julius Caesar, Pompeius Magnus, Hannibal, Mark Antony, Vercingetorix, etc. For regular generals if they do it like shogun 2 with various in looks i would be cool with that just as long as they are not all clones.

As far as being able to customize your generals look like in avatar mode I wouldn't be opposed by that either since after all it is an option. Just make it basic the higher level you are the more option and armor you have available to you.

Thing I want for sure it custom models for Kings, Roman Consuls, and of course the Emperor and faction leaders in general. They should stand out from the other generals for sure!
