Delete it? If Norton can't clean it than try going in manually and removing the files yourself.
Even if the the virus is in my windows folder?

If you do a virus scan does norton offer to remove it its self ?
Does it tell you what the virsu / trojan is called ? If it says its name I think you can look it up on the norton antivirus web site and it should offer advice as to how to remove it.

When i scan norton does not find anything.

If you dont know the name of the files, either because it doesnt say or theres no record (on pc or written by you) then your going to have a hard time trying to get it out if its in your windows files.
I think deleting temporary internet files should be ok (check because im not sure) but be careful if you go deleting windows files.

Follow this advice, stop looking at porn and/or warez (well that is where most of this stuff comes from...Originally Posted by Bruticus the Steadfast

The temp internet files folder is inside the windows folder so it may be detecting the same file twice, meaning simply deleting cookies and offline files should get rid of it.
However do a scan for spyware and adware as well using spybot and adaware (search them in google).
You could also try simply using the system restore feature of windows to a time before you got the virus (if clearing the cache doesn't work) as that should solve the problem as well.
If you still cannot get rid of it, start in safe mode, find the offending file(s) and using the file shredder option of spybot delete the files/virus.
This may make windows unstable as viruses can attatch themselves to system files, but simply using the windows cd to "repair" windows will fix this.
Worst case scenario is you format and start from scratch...but I think you just have to clear your internet cache (temp files).
