I have a confession to make. I still want it back.

Perhaps it became a liability in testing and was replaced with something more efficient during the creation of Empire? I think it will add variety if it makes a return since it has a diverse purpose.
Please make a poll so that I can vote No.

No, just no.
It's to much temptation and when I use it, it ruins the game for me. Believe me, when you start using that console in med 2, it get boring real fast and kills the feel.
Also with all the achievement on steam, none would matter becuase you cheat. I think it's safe to say it won't happen and lots of people will be angry of it does happen.
Please no. Once I discovered auto_win...
Glad to see im not the only one drawn to the dark side of the console. It's so hard to resist and so seducing to send single garrison units to handle tedious rebel spawns with auto_win attacker
I don't see why everyone is against the mere choice of having it. If it's too much temptation for you simply don't bind it to a key or disable it in the game files if possible. Or get more self-control...
I don't use console myself, since i don't cheat, but doesn't it come in handy for modders and beta testers? So they can test/recreate bugs?
"I for one wouldn't mind, even though it's now nigh-impossible to go into debt (You really had to try in ETW). Still, because of this, I can't, say, do something wacky like hibernation in Lapland with Sweden or completely migrate to India with the US because that (of course) would put me into debt.
And it would help the newbies. I for one finally got into RTW when I had different units, etc..
Cue the insults..."
As a matter of fact I did colonize India as the United Statesbut didnt migrate...

meh i only used it for process_cq and add_money only worthwhile cheats in med2 tbh auto_win was just boring to use since i like fighting my battles or just auto resolve battles i dont want to fight
i wouldnt mind having it back
I would also use add_money in Medieval 2...
I didn't have a problem of running the economies in Empire and Napoleon, but Shogun 2 was a little difficult.I didn't have a problem in Rome, but it was always a little difficult getting started.

Ah the cheat console...
an old bad habit of mine...
But it comes in handy with more legit purposes aswell, like AgentGB said, plus, i like taking a quick look in the map when starting a campaign, especially with a new mod.
So id vote yes to have it, nevertherless, i will be joining the anonimous cheaters community, just in case i fall in temptation again. To have so much power in hands! Its just too much!
How people with a mod banner in their sig can say they don't want a console is mindboggling.
Not having a console is a huge handicap for modding, and one of the reasons why progress for modders was - and still is - so slow since ETW.

Respecto Patronum
The only really useful console command was the Surrender_regions or whatever it was called, it was quite usefull for mods, when there might be a bug connected to a certain army moving somewhere, or a single faction doing whatever, that caused a crash.
Other than that, cheating was indeed a horrible temptation.
