    Default Resizing windows problem

I recently had to give up my flat screened, larger monitor, for the smaller one I now have. I had to give the other one to my dad to have.

The screen resolution on my old monitor was larger than the one on my new monitor, and I cannot increse the resolution on my current monitor as it is at its maximum of 1024 x 768.

Now I have changed monitors many of the windows are too large. For example, any "Save As" window, on any program is too big, height wise, meaning I cannot see the box to enter a name for the file, and cannot click on the save button. This is the same in all programs, such as Word, Photoshop etc.

I can change the windows width, but not its height. I can see the top and bottom of the window by hiding the taskbar at the bottom of the screen, but it will not let me drag it smaller.

Does anyone have any ideas how I can fix this, or of any program which will help ?

P.S. If it helps, I have XP Pro

    Thanks

So what resolution are you set to at the moment? Might need to download your monitors drivers if you cant get it to pick a correct resolution - or alternatively try manually resizing the screen with the monitors controls..

It used to be set at 1024 x 1280 I think, but the maximum on my new monitor is 1024 x 768 , which is what it is set on currently, and as high as the slider will go.

Right click on your taskbar, and select "cascade windows" this should fix your problem.

Nope, that just moves the window, rather than lets me resize it.
