The Census of 84 BCE

By order of the Senate and the Sacred Constitution of the Roman Republic, Censor Lucius Furius Philus has called for all male citizens of the Republic to meet at the Villa Publica, in the Campus Martius, to report their current assets and finances for the glory of Rome, as is required by the Constitution to be conducted every ten years. Failure to report to the Campus Martius will result in a minimum fine of five hundred Denarii. Any citizen who knowingly gives fraudulent information regarding his total assets will be fined ten percent of the difference of the wrongfully reported assets with a minimum fine of five hundred Denarii.

The information that the Censor, Lucius Furius Philus, requires you to divulge is as follows:

One's full name (praenomen, nomen, and cognomen)
One's father's full name
The names of all members of a clan if one is a paterfamiliaris
One's rank in society, as either a Plebian or Patrician
One's current rank in the Senate (if any)
All of One's titles bestowed by the Senate (if any)
One's most recent income
The number of slaves one owns
The number of landed estates one owns
The number of ships one owns
One's most recent income via trade

Also to be tabulated is the number of citizens within the boundaries of Latium.

But if you wanted to make a Census as Censor in 85 BCE, wouldn't you have made it in 85 BCE?

I was appointed for the end of the term and got around to it today.

I wasn't elected, I was appointed halfway through 85 BCE. I was unavailable over the weekend and just did this now. I had assumed that I was still Censor and did it now.

OOC: Btw, I think that incumbents should also automatically be nominated. I wasn't able to nominate myself because I was appointed after the nominations.

ooc: traditionally incumbents wouldn't run for the same office in consecutive years, but because of RP reasons it was allowed - anyway, even if you were appointed after nominations started you could have ran for the position again.
