    Icon5 A few questions

First got to say this has to be the best mod I have ever played, and what rome should of been.

Second who plays with the Alex.exe? Is it working with 1.2 and fixes? I'm in the middle of a romani campaign (about to hit the first reform) but is it worth starting a new campaign using it?

Third recommend sub mods? I already use RS2 Environments but I wasn't sure if the mega mod was worth using?

    +rep for any answers cheers

    That's not a question.

    Sorry, I don't.

Is it working with 1.2 and fixes?
    Presumably.

is it worth starting a new campaign using it?
*shrug* I've never had problems with the basic .exe; according to what I've heard, Alex is more stable and the AI is slightly more competent.

    Third recommend sub mods?
The only one I use is the Force Diplomacy, and I hardly use it, to be honest.

    Happy now?
I beat back their first attack with ease. Properly employed, E's can be very deadly, deadlier even than P's and Z's, though they're not as lethal as Paula Abdul or Right Said Fred.

Best thing is you still get rep for that if he's a man of his word.

I am going to use Alex, after what i have heard it does worth it. Making this super game even more difficult (i hope) would be a great "plus".

I want to ask you about the RS2 environments, do they worth it? Apart from looking beautiful, have they any significance tactically? I have heard they had more hills or is this wrong?

RS2 environments are a must. They improve the game a huge amount, tactically I don't think it changes anything it just makes everything look more realistic. I don't think they changed the amounts of hills either.

Yeah, naval invasions, night battles and an illusion of commons sense for the AI are a definite must
Though i didn't use any mods for it, i just manually tweaked the shortcuts to make it work. I do use the RS environments on my latest campaign and i get the impression that i fight less battles on cliff sides, but it could be just me picking the right ground for fighting. Aside from that, i manually removed the view distance for the grass and now the sights are breath taking

I use the hoplite phalanx mode, if you don't use the BI exe that gives you shield wall formations, this is IMO the next best thing to simulate all the pushing and shoving in hoplite warfare. It keeps your hoplites in tight block formation (quasi phalanx), they penetrate inside the enemies lines AND you can still charge with them!
