Default Just a quick RAM question

Ok, so I am in no way tech savy when it comes to PCs, so cut me some slack if this is stupid.

Right now I'm running a GeForce GT430 graphics card, pretty good PSU for what I have (500w I think).

But I'm only running on 2gb of RAM. Due to my motherboard, I can only upgrade to 2 sticks of 2 (so a total of 4gb)

So the question, should I upgrade the RAM? I know my PC is by far not the best, but I can run ETW on pretty good settings so it's at least that up to date.

You may as well; RAM (DDR3) is cheap and it's a worthwhile upgrade. Do you just have one 2gb stick at the moment, or is it 2x1gb? I presume you have a 64-bit version of windows?

    It's 2x1gb and im 32 bit.

    If I had 64bit, I could go up to 8gb (2x4gb) I think.

    What's your OS?

    Vista Home Premium.

The extra RAM is only like $50, but I'm not sure if the cost is worth the difference in speed or whatever.

Yes, probably. Vista is more resource hungry than xp and 7. Does your motherboard take DDR3 (cheaper) or DDR2? If it is DDR3 then you can get some even cheaper if you don't care too much what spec it is, as it probably doesn't make much difference unless you are doing really serious things.

It's DDR2, so I just bought some basic RAM sticks since they could only improve (The believe they're Corsair).

I don't think I do, even if I did, I wouldn't know what they were.

If you have 32bit there's not much point, as it will only work with around 3gb of ram (depending on your video card)

Looks like your vid card uses 1gb. Thus by my calculations you will only see 3gb of ram no matter what you put into it. Going from 2gb to 3gb is not much point in my opinion.
