    Default Can I use some units in other mods?

    Hey everyone, I must say that this mod is awesome. With all the crazy monsters and the magic wielded by mages, I must say that I am very impressed. I was wondering whether if it is possible, and whether I have permission, to use some of these units in Stainless Steel 6.4? Specifically, I would like to include the Minotaurs and Tzeentch Sorcerers on Discs to my Pagan Scottish faction to battle Civilized Europe.

    Here's the basic thing about permissions (thank you for asking, btw ):

    If you're using the models for personal use (no public releases whatsoever), then it is ok and you technically don't need permission to use them.

    However, if you do plan to release a sub-mod or a mod, you'll need permission from the mod team and it's best to pm them about these things.

    Thanks for the quick reply. I am new to all this and wasnt sure, but I am doing all this just for myself, not for a submod. Thanks for the help

    So far, I am a little confused at how to add new units to add units to Stainless Steel 6.4. For example, in order to try to add Tzeentch Sorcerers on Discs, I did the following...
    1) Copy the following text from Warhammer's battle_models file (found in data\unit_models)

    3) Copy the warhammer file for all the textures (found in data\unit_models\_units) and pasted it in SS's data\unit_models\_units.
    4) Copy lithuania_Disc_of_Tzeentch_sprite, lithuania_Disc_of_Tzeentch_sprite_000, lithuania_TZ_mage_upg_sprite, lithuania_TZ_mage_upg_sprite_000, lithuania_TZ_mage_upg_sprite_001, and lithuania_TZ_mage_upg_sprite_002 from Warhammer's data\unit_sprites and pasted all that to SS. unit_spirites file.
    5) Copy the following text from Warhammer's export_descr_units and pasted it with the addition of "scotland" SS's export_descr_units file

    6) Lastly, I changed 22 serialization::archive 3 0 0 0 0 1197 0 0 in Stainless Steels battle_models to 22 serialization::archive 3 0 0 0 0 1199 0 0 because I added to new units to the file.
    After all of these changes, all I get is a black screen when I try to upload Stainless Steel. Can anyone help me and tell me what I am doing wrong? An thanks for all the help in advance and sorry about the lengthy post.

    This makes me wonder tho why more modders doesnt use your models, you basically have together with TATW and some minor mods the best looking mod out there atm, its to say the least, wierd,

    P.S off-topic, im gonna do a shoutout for bretonnia, ive been to the russian forum using google chrome translator, the bretonnian forum section didnt give much info on the matter were the progress of the faction is now but im still hoping for them
