Im playing as Ptolemy and I'm having a really good time. The first battle with Antiochus III ended with a stalemate (timer ran out) then I sent much of the army back to Alexandria where they could retrain when I had the buildings. But before the battle Id organised a reinforcement column from the local garrisons giving Ptolemy IV a new army the next turn. So he moved on and took Jerusalem (it might not be jerusalem but the name seems similiar ingame) then the city south of Antioch where he finished off Antiochus before moving onto Antioch itself.Unfortunately he found himself cornered by a reinforcement stack and was essentially massacred. His son Alypius then moved up a column of rather good troops to avenge his father but was stopped at a river crossing. However he fortunately managed to avert a complete disaster by covering his mens withdrawal with an Elephant charge.
But heres the real problem,a plague in Alexandria means that I cannot retrain Alypius' survivors....
So all in all Im really enjoying this campaign and would recommend it to any players who haven't already tried it,it's a nice break from playing as Rome.
