Default Rise of the Samurai - Viable Builds

I've been letting my RotS fetish dominate this past week, but, no surprise, keep getting beaten.

Fourteen thousand points is too cumbersome, because I ended up with sixty percent Foot Samurai in the line up.

So I was wondering if there are combinations that will work at five and ten thousand points.

I personally used to play with an attendant style army. Attendants are RoTS units right?

I used to mix nagi monks with sword attendants, which worked quite well.

Just get some sword attendant veterans with melee attack veteran upgrades, blademaster and honourable attendant. If you plan on using foot samurai definately get whistling arrows on them.
    My suggestion for R2TW:

So vanilla builds are definitely out?

In multiplayer, available are Onna Bushi Heroine, Tetsubo Monk Hero, Mounted Samurai Hero, Mounted Naginata, Mounted Samurai, Foot Samurai, Naginata Attendaants and Sword Attendants.

While a cost benefit analysis was actually quite favourable, in RL these units just tend to get overwhelmed.

I think you should be allowed monks with that sort of build since monks are in the rots unit roster.

But I just hosted a battle list game for a classic battle with rise of the samurai factions and actually got a game. CA might have actually made classic mode battles visible in the list.
