    Default Unit Charging problem

    Gday all,

I'm having a problem, where when I tell a unit to charge an enemy unit, it charges the nearest enemy unit rather than the one that i ordered it to charge.

Sorry if this has been addressed elsewhere, i haven't been able to find anything on it.

    Thanks,
    Sam

Perhaps one of the men in your unit is getting stuck on the nearest enemy unit and so your entire unit will charge them instead of the one you wanted....

Check the unts details and see if it has the May Charge Without Orders trait. If it does, it might be that.

The same problem applies when you give attack/charge order when you have selected more than one of your units. But this problem is from RTW engine itself, it's probably because of what century x has told in his post. I remember I hated that a lot when I saw the same thing in M2:TW , coz then you have manullay give attack orders for each of your units seperately not the whole group...

I have only seen this problem when i have units in a group ,that is why i avoid using groups in battle.I just select the units i want with shift/ctrl + mouse click ,then right click the enemy and "r" to make them run and charge.Works like a charm

Make sure you don't double click the units you want them to attack. Single click then press "R" as someone else has suggested.

This problem occurs as already been pointed out when having your units grouped together.

Solution - don't give attack orders for a group of units but give indivdual attack orders for each of them.

Grouping units is fine for movement orders but attack orders will get screwed up.

Sounds like your men suffer from mental retardation. Exterminate them immediately.
And bring me their intestines to snack on.
