LAN Custom Battles
It looks like there are two options;
- Avatar Campaign
- Co-op Campaign
Can I not do custom battles?
I have two desktop computers and want to set up two separate Steam accounts with a copy of Shogun 2 registered to each one. These are portable rigs for taking to LAN parties...heck, or even just a regular party. Have they really nerfed the game that much I cannot play a regular old custom or historical battles against a friend in offline mode?
BTW, I emailed Steam about offline mode. Haven't heard back since I opened the case five days ago. I'm trying to give Steam and CA a second chance here, but it's not going good.

Re: LAN Custom Battles
Avatar campaign pretty much cover everything about non-campaign map MP
for lan battle: avatar campaign -> Battle list -> Local network (on top) -> Host game
You don't need internet to do this.

Re: LAN Custom Battles
Ok, good. I didn't want to open the packaging until I'm sure I can run Steam in offline mode and still play battles. I contacted Steam three days ago and still haven't heard anything except a "we received your request and will answer you" message I got after day two. Rep given for being more responsive than the vendors. If I do receive an answer from either one of them I'll post it here.
