    Default FOTS units way to OP vs Shogun 2 please read

    I felt like playing multiplayer and the only matches i can get into now in days are Fots vs Shogun 2. So Whatever, in the past i had some good victories, insanely hard for me. But i just went into a game and un upgraded any FOTS unit beats most of my infantry units.... WHAT! Black bear on there own can go into a melee battle vs me and probably still win. There a hair away from being better than Katana Samurai in melee. Also here is the best part, THEY HAVE GUNS! It's like me getting a Katana Samurai taking off 1 point in melee and arming them with high reload rate rifles. Also Shogutai? They are practically Katana Heroes but seemingly cheaper and with no unit restriction.

    So CA please for the love of god, make the Fots units way weaker in melee. Because it doesn't make sense in a balancing standpoint and in a real life stand point. How can these constrict soldiers be anywhere near the level of someone who's trained in this there whole life? It's like me going to my highschool physics teacher and he lectures me once, then saying i'm on the level of Albert Einstein. Either this or please take off the unit caps. The only way you have a slight chance of beating them is in a prolong arhcer skirmish on a very hilly map. With Firerockets, your screwed if you try and engage in melee. So please take off the unit caps so i can get more Bow warrior monks, make there melee stats a lot weaker. Instead of 7 how about 4. Because IMO if i charge them with my Yari Ash i think i should be able to be at least combat even. My Loan swords should be able to win against them. Thank you and good day

    There is no denying that there are serious balancing issues in this game. I have seen a lot of posts justifying this imbalance by arguing that it is 'historically accurate' that guns out class swords/bows. But that is not the point. CA/Sega(whoever is responsible) should know that before releasing expansions/DLCs all aspects of the multiplayer are balanced. If you can't do that, do not combine the multiplayer of the expansion and base game. This refutes all those ''untick mixed avatar blah blah blah...'' statements.

    A similar example of this is the Dawn of War II RTS series. When the developers released the standalone expansion Chaos Rising which shared the same multiplayer as the base game, one of the units from the new expansion was very OP. Not long after, this was fixed. Why can't CA do this as well?

    Its very simple to fix this balancing issue in my opinion. There is only one thing to do, raise the price of every single FoTS unit. Why every single one and not selected units like the Yari Ki? Because this way FoTS vs FoTS remains balanced while at the same time, people using traditional armies also stand a chance against FoTS players.

    It is not surprising that this isn't a hot topic filled with replies since it has already been discussed many many many times before. I am also sure a majority of the community understand and accept that there are balance issues in this game and have moved on.

    The Total War series has a long way before it can achieve that competitive status which some have been wanting. It first needs to make sure everything is balanced as much as possible.
