Default Err, is my UI incomplete?

Hello everyone, I just started using this mod about a day ago.

I have both RTW and BI on steam as the gold edition and followed the instructions one to one. No problems during installation.

When I first started it through steam with the launch options, I noticed that all the loading screens just said something along the lines of

    "Rome Total...
    -Patch"

    Is this as intended?

And when I start a campaign, the script starts only the first time I start the game. If I try to start 2 empires without ending the game, the second time the script just doesnt start at all and Im stuck not being able to move my screen or move units around.

Finally, I looked around the forums and saw other people's screenshots of the game and noticed mine looks nothing like it, that my UI is missing certain things. Especially on the battle map.

    Here's a screenshot.

I tried reinstalling the mod, but after reinstalling, I cant save my games anymore. The Save game and Load game options on the menu screen is just greyed out.

I also tried restarting steam, no dice.

What is missing? That's our UI

The savegames issue is generally caused if you quit a campaign without terminating the script (done by hitting the "?" at the top right of the menu before you quit the campaign) and then start/load a new one.
