Default Cannot Install Medieval 2 Gold

I just bought Medieval 2 Gold and I can't install it. Whenever I run the setup.exe, or launch.exe, a message comes up saying that "Cannot determine the installed game language for Medieval 2 Total War: Gold".
I got the game on Amazon, and it was brand new, not used.

PS:Something I have to say is that I had Medieval 2 Total War (EU version) and the Kingdoms expansion (US version), but I had to buy Gold because i couldn't play the American Kingdoms on the European Medieval 2. So the thing is that I had already played a Medieval 2 before getting the Gold edition. Could that have something to do with my problem?

Uninstall the old one, delete all folders, two if Win 7 or vista with UAC enabled and installed in default location, run a good registry cleaner like Eusing Free Registry Cleaner, restart the computer and install.

Ok, now the installer starts but I can't install the game on the E: drive. I have two drives: C:, which is nearly full, and E:, which has lots of empty space. The installer just does not give me the chance to install the game in the E: drive; it sets the C: drive as default. What do I do?

In Computer, right-click the icon, click open, click setup.exe. The autorun at times is a piece of .

It doesn't seem to work, it just opens the normal installer, with the same problem going on.

How much disc space do you have on C: drive? If you don;t have 9gb minimum, need to free some.

I only have 5 GB of free disk space. The issue is that I want to install the game on the other drive (E, but it just doesn't give me the option to do that.

A litttle history o the installer of this that has not changed since verion 1.0 was released. CA id not give this option for less than 9gb.
Two choices, find some room, even moving it to the other drive for now, or play frisbee with the disc. There is no third choice and never has been one.

I've found a solution for the problem. Instead of using the autorun, I clicked on the setup.exe icon inside a folder called m2tw, inside the Disk1. What it did was it launched the original M2TW installer, which gives you the option to change where you want to install the game. After installing the game I went through the same process on disc 2 but installing the Kingdoms campaigns. So basically I found out that you can install Medieval 2 Gold wherever you want if you install it manually instead of using the standard setup.
