    Most likely, but after thirty days you won't be able to save anything you edit/make with it.

    @Stefan

    willing to add me on steam? Primergy i'm named there

    @campaign map

    good thing, after taking a quick look at it, the 3dsmax side of the Map doesn't seam to much complicated, but creating a map from scratch, definitly might be time consuming...

    One of the things we had expressed to us was that any serious campaign modding can be done, but it will be very time consuming.

    Ok

    You don't have to buy 3dsmax to get ig legally. You can get a student's license like the poster before me stated.

    I will try to do some editing to the map, but loading the campaign map in 3dsmax is very heavy for my pc. However due to the plugins not working with 3dsmax 2013 i'm now downloading version 2010.

    You can acquire a Student License for free,just go here:

    You can download and use without limitations every autodesk software. But you can't sell your products (you can release them only for free).

    Does it work even if you're not a student...

    Who is to say your not a student? A student is but someone who learns. You are learning to mod.

    Yes it does. It's valid for use in everything but making profit and teaching in institutions. Making models for a mod is 100% under the alignments since you:
    1) Will never see monetary profit from it, nor directly or indirectly. Never.
    2) You are not using it in an institution for institutional ends.

    Thanks

    In France, to be legally considered as student, you need to have a... student card delivered by an university, an engineer school, IUT, etc.
    And you have often to send a copy of it when you want to have access to educational programs.
    Glad to see that Autodesk didn't use this process.

    I'm now registered in autodesk educational community, but it's a hell to download 3ds max...
    I use "browser download" but the download stop after several minutes.
    I use Opera, but I've tested with IE9 and Firefox 15 with the same results.
    I've also reboot my adsl box as well as my wifi ap, nothing better...

    And I can't find where is the "Autodesk Download Manager" as I only have the "browser download" button.

    Living in France too, no problem so far to download it. I'm downloading the 3ds max 2013 win 64 bit, it says 53 minutes left so I'll tell you if it works. I use Chrome btw.

    For example you can use it to dick around in your house. To learn how to model. To make models for no commercial ends (making models for showing off, for mods, for competitions where there are really no prizes, etc...) and so on.

    The rest, like professional ends (for company or working use), be it in home or in office, to teach others (as in college or any kind of school) or to sell the models you made, it's considered a commercial and thus paid license.

    So to resume, you can use the student version, at home and only for non-profit ends. All the rest of the activities will require you to pay a license.

    I was trying to download 3ds max 2010 and only "browser download" was available.
    Now, I'm downloading the 2013 version and it work fine for now.

    CA give us .dle exporter for 3ds max 2009 and 2010.
    But I doubt about those plugins compatibility with Max 2013.

    This is probably the most exciting thread going on in Shogun modding right now. Godspeed, gentlemen (and/or ladies?).

    umm... wow, just wow. First time i've thrown up on myself because I was excited about something...

    If new provinces can be made, can newly made castles be attached to them as well?

    Remember Alhoon, that picture isn't in-game. They need to figure out how to convert the 3dmax format back to the game format (.csa?). Unless I'm dead wrong that is.

    Look at the rest of the screen, it's been taken during a campaign.
