Installing 1%...

I've been playing the last days without problems, today when I wanted to launch Shogun I get a popup that says Installing 1%... It stays there about five minutes then something about Steam servers being busy error 55. I recall that I had similar problem with another game (not Steam) and it was caused by a file gone missing. I already checked integrity of the games cache and it's fine. What else can I do?

Edit: The problem went away after deleting the blobs (clientregistry.blob and appupdatestats.blob) and restarting steam. Sorry for the interruption, although I'll leave this here in case someone has a similar problem.

Probably installing another patch to make 10 billionth so far. You end up in a cue and then it will take a few hours to download. I keep steam offline so I can play my game in peace.
