Default Let your voice be heard! TWSpeaks for July's TWN!

For those who may not know what TWN is, check out the last episode!

We're doing TWSpeaks for July's edition of TWN! It's the same format like last time, just your quick thoughts on the topic!

We'll take recorded and written responses, for recorded ones it's best just to record it on your own through something like Audacity and then send it to me.

Please keep written responses around two paragraphs.

    The question!

Rome 2 has been announced! What are your thoughts and hopes for CA's next game?

    Thanks for your time everyone!

I really want to see two things:

    1. A sprite slide, that goes from the low settings of the previous games to a uber-ultra high setting (maybe even an numeric input field, so that players can decide themselves whether to compromise quality over quantity or vice versa)

    2. Prisoners. Like in M2TW it would be really nice to be able to take prisoners. You should be able to decide whether to kill, release, ransom or enslave the prisoners you take.

-Hope they release a beta test for the multiplayer to make it as stable and solid as possible before release date.

-Hope they bring back Jeff van Dyck (and his wife's vocals).

For realism purposes following behind Paradox and their style of gameplay doesn't seem too bad in creating the most realistic political system to date and by that I mean having control over only your own hierarchical tree would make sense. Italy should be divided between the dominant political and military families at the given time and should each be playable as seperate factions, of course the idea should be incorporated into each nation as well and not simply Rome.

Each legionary who has served his time leaves the unit he's currently in and retires into the province the army he's part of currently resides in with the function to be recruited as evocati.

    1. Realistic Ptolomaic Kingdom, Gauls, and Germans, and add Dacia as a faction.

    2. More wounded for battels. Wounded heal, but dead aren't automatically regenerated like in Empire and Napoleon.

Legio's voice is like a silk nightie. I could wear it at night and it would hug me to sleep. And it couldn't get away in the middle of the night because i would sleep in a way so it couldnt move.

I can remember playing a space game many years ago (name escapes me at the moment) but it was rich in cut scenes after important events. This addition gave the game a continuity to the story line which I have not seen in any TW series. Please consider this.

    3 THINGS!

1- Modder involvement in creating the game, because lets face it, the mods released for all of the total war games have far surpassed that of the originals!

2 - Far more modder friendly! I'm not a modder but its mods that have really kept CA and its games alive and lets face it, iwthut mods there would be no TWC

3 - More educational opportunities as I believe that gaming should not just be about mindless violence, though I do love 360 no scoping n00bs, and hacking limbs of zombies with axes.

    That is my answer!

P.S. Pretty much every thing about game play improvements, historical accuracy etc etc etc is on the money as far as I'm concerned.
