    Default wifi signal boosters help.

Is there a way I can increase wifi signal at my work without plugging the booster anywhere? I have no access to internet hardware so I need a wifi booster that doesn't need to be plugged in.All the wifi boosters I see need to be plugged in into a modem, which I don't have access to.

Normally Wifi boosters plug into a power socket not a modem.

All the boosters I see on newegg have a cable that looks like the one you screw into the modem. I don't have anything at work that I can screw in this cable so I was wondering if there is a wireless wifi booster out there?

If you don't need omnidirectional wifi, you could always make your own antenna.
You should easily be able to find tutorials for this using cans.

Unless someone figured out how to do it but from my old radio and tv days of the 1960s, booster only worked for transmitting/uploading, downloading/receiving was totally dependent on the strength of the signal of the originator and direction. Anything else was a money makng scam and there were more than a few then.

This also includes cb and ham radios for those familiar with them.
