Rules
- Private communication is forbidden!No discussing the game outside of this thread. This includes PM's, instant messaging, chats, phone conversation, texts, emails, talking in person, ect. The only exceptions are GM sanctioned quick topics.
- You may publicly role reveal, if you choose. You may quote your entire PM, if you like. Disclaimer: the GM is not responsible for any potential discrepancies in your role pm. Of course, all role pm’s are done with great care, but there is always potential for typos/mistakes, so if you choose to quote your role pm, do so at your own risk!
- Participation: You will be expected to, at the very least, vote once per day phase, and use your ability every night phase. Failing to vote 3 days in a row may result in meeting the Fisherman (removal from the game) or being replaced. If, for whatever reason, you are unable to participate for an amount of time, please contact the GM's so accommodations can be made. If you are unable to continue to play, please speak to us so we can find a replacement.
- Dead players cannot communicate publicly or privately with any active players.
- Vote Procedure: To vote to lynch someone, post: Vote: wideyedwanderer. To change your vote, post: Unvote, Vote: link16. Please do not edit your post to change your vote. Please use proper voting procedure, or it will not be counted. Remember to bold your vote! Vote:Abstain votes are allowed.
- Do not intentionally alter the vote tally. You may post unofficial tallies for your own use, but the GM will post the official tallies.
- If you feel the GM's have made a mistake, please speak to us in private. There is a good chance that the "mistake" is actually not a mistake at all, and is the result of hidden, behind-the-scenes actions by other players.
- The GM's reserve the right to make changes to the rules, or roles, as we see necessary, in order to sustain the balance and fun of the game. However, hopefully the game is already well-balanced from the start.
- As with all mafia games, it is meant to be fun. So please, use good sportsmanship. You will be notified by the GM's if we feel you may be personally attacking another player, and if the act continues, you may be banned from this, and future games.
- Breaking the rules, whether intentional or not, may result in punishment, possibly a ban from the game, and having your name on the metaphorical wall of shame. So read the rules carefully, and play honestly. It's more fun that way.
Echolocation -
Once per phase you may send 1 “message” to a player of your choice. To do this, send your message to the GM (wideyedanderer) along with the name of the person you wish to contact. There is a 10% chance your message may go to the wrong recipient, and a 10% chance your message will fail entirely. Use at your own risk. You may also choose to send your message anonymously. (If you wish to do this, make sure you clearly state it to the GM.)
Additional Game Mechanics
1. There is a 10% chance that any kill will fail.
2. There is a 10% chance that any scan will fail.
These two mechanics are in place to help add flavor and intrigue to a game. You just never know when someone who looks certain to be dead is spared by pure luck (or is it fate...?)
