I agree that enough people have asked CA ever since Empire to make future games more moddable. But I just want to reiterate: The thing about what made Rome Total War and Medieval 2 Total War so great was not only the game themselves but their moddability. It is hard to find gamers playing games that are 6-8 years old, but heck, I still play Medieval 2 with mods, and I still ENJOY it.
Empire, Napoleon and Shogun 2 were moddable to the extent that we could add units, edit techologies, buildings, and re-distribute provinces. But the extent is no where close to how much you could mod for Rome and Medieval 2.
I want Rome 2 to be as moddable as Rome and Medieval 2, and I am certain that many others agree the same. Even though the the complexity of the games might prevent a full-scale accessibility in to modding the game, I want CA to realize that modding not only INCREASES THEIR SALES, but makes their games more interesting and re-playable.
I really appreciate the CA members and how they try to listen to us and offer to take our suggestions. I also hope this thread gains much attention to persuade CA to increase moddability in their games- and yes, that includes export_descr_unit.txt and descr_strat.txt.
