Problem with SS setup

I downloaded and installed SS last night (6.3, patched to 6.4), but I'm experiencing a technical problem. I can play custom battles without any issues, but when I try to launch a campaign the game just takes me back to the single-player menu. I may have found the reason for this: when I run the setup programme and select Early Era Campaign, I get a message saying 'Error while trying to create a temporary file. Operation aborted.' Unfortunately, I've no idea what to do about this. Any advice?

In your 6.3 Mod Folder in MTW2, is an SS Setup Icon, select, right click, run as admin and choose your sub mods
