It happens to me all the time - when i'm at war with someone and they decide they want ceasefire,they demand some of the cities i have taken from them + some big amounts of gold.....

That is not as ridiculous as you might think.

If the AI comes up to you with that proposal, there's a few scenarios to consider:

- You're about to attack the AI with a full army and it does not anything nearby to defend it.
- The AI is under attack from another faction and wants to quickly end the conflict before turning it's eyes on you again.

I´ve seen that offer many times, always without those scenarios, and i think (i might be wrong) they usually attack, whatever you do, accepting peace in the next turn.
