Prob with the launcher!

Ok sorry to open old questions again but i despeatrly need help instaling this mod.Something is wrong with the launcher but i think that it migh have something to do with the missing data filies preference.txt and the vegetation one(i think its the one that enables you to chose the vegetation quality).Waste few days figuring out how and what to do but no luck.Anyway here is how i done my steps to install this mod.

Im a steam user and owner of bouth gold and alexander version.I folowed the instruction like this:
1.Back up everything(GOLD and alexander)
2.copy the files from gold to alexander withoth overwright anything(not shure about the Data folder wheater i should or i shouldnt overwright)
3.Make separate folders for the RS2 and 2.5 patch and install them.
4.Copy everything from 2.5 patch folder to RS2 folder and overwright
5.rename BI to alexander from the RS2 folder.
6.cut everything from RS2 folder to alexander folder which i preveosly prepared
7.type the code for the campaing that i want to play(my case( -mod:play_Macedon -show_err -nm))

Start the launcher (while runing steam) and chose the options and when i play play just noting happens.You can even quit it.I found out when i run the game throw steam the game starts and i can play the campaing but it dosent have options i have selected(ex, one turn campaing).Dont know what to do anymore reinstall it 10 times but nothing i think it has something to do with the data but i dont know.
Please i need some guidance and i realy wana play this mod.

5.rename BI to alexander from the RS2 folder.

What do you mean by this?

Also, is there a SteamLaunchBI.bat file in the folder that is created?

It was on this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eg_1iWpT-F0 .And i have to check this but later because i deleted everything to prepare to redo EVRYTHING again(but this time with little help) and i realy hope it will work this time.But you didnt ask about the data when i copy from gold to alexander wheter should ovewright or just to skip?

Merge both data folder, but don't overwrite.

What do you mean by that?Copy evertyhing from data to the other data folder?Or?

It seems that there is a miles folder too should i merge it too?

Basically, when you copy a folder called thing, and there's already a folder thing present, you'll be asked if you want to merge the content of both folders, that is, if you want to paste into the already existing folder.
You have to say yes to this question, for every folder.

After that, it's going to ask you if you want to overwrite files, that is replace the files already present by those from the folder you are pasting.

OK i done it with bouth the miles and data folder.Dont know wheater the video i posted is a good or bad guide now i have an alexander and a BI folder.In the video tells when you install RS2 and 2.5 patch you have to rename their BI folder to alexander so it could overwright the alexander folder.And in the video i noticed that he is missing a BI folder in the preveosly prepared RTW-A folder(with the vanila version).So shuld i go by his steps or?

I send you message but it seems that is something wrong and it dont show in sent mesages so dont know wheater you got it.

I don't really know how to help you with this.
However, I have an idea that I have never tested, it's called remote desktop.
Basically, I'm able to control your computer, and thus install it for you.

That's a question of trust , do you trust me to have the control of your computer?
You should be able to interrupt whenever you want though, and I have no reason to do anything wrong.

If you want to try this, just tell me; otherwise I understand why you don't want to do it.
