Hope we will see standards like what RSII or Roma Victrix did.

Are you atleast considering a more than two player multiplayer campaign? It would make my day. I have many friends that are fan of the total war series and we love to play campaign, but only two can play at a time.
Will the cities be generic, or are you planning to make at least the major cities (like Rome, Athens, etc...) recognizable and as accurate as possible, like Carthage in the preview screens? (which looks awesome btw)

about the map
can you say if there will be at leat 200 settlements ?
Just how radical would it be to not make any exclusive content? No DLCs, i guess that's impossible by modern standards, somehow they just "have" to milk the cow, but exclusive content? Exclusive factions, exclusive units, all that because i "preordered" the game? Is CA really worrying that much about their money, that they need to sell gimmicks? It's already enough that they are selling half the game at the original price then sell the other half in DLCs, so how about now exclusive content whatsoever?
Please tell me there won't be any DLC factions.. please tell me you will only release DLC that you made AFTER the release of the game and not held out on us, that was already on the disc. I'm so sick of that.
Will there be plenty of historical battles? They were always a favourite of mine, and I was quite disappointed when Empire only came with a few. I'm guessing the Seige of Carthege will be one, but plenty more will be welcomed![]()
Also will the Senate be making as important an appearance as in the original?
What is the art direction you guys are taking concerning units color? Will it be more cartoonish with pink stuff or will it be more dark and realistic? Also pls elaborate the legions, are they now stack or army or what was meant by that.

Don't preorder games!
Holy ..... Over a YEAR to release, so that means that Rome 2 will be released in the next chrismas in which i will be deep within my twenties ....
Anyway, asking multitude of questions right now as Lusted said is pointless , 1.5 year before the release.
But of course ca can use the engine and the period they are making for rome 2 for a ridiculous amount of DLCS and addons, but i hope they are not going to be all of them charged.
From the second punic war special campaign, to the campaigns of Julius caesar, the wars of the Diadochoi, the campaigns of Alexander the Great, and the imperial period.
The late period, the crisis, eastern campaigns, etc etc.
There is really no limit to it.
MACEDONIA ETERNAL GREEK KINGDOM
Will we have more then one soldiers attacking one person? And will Roman troops keep there formation when attacked?

Hopefully CA is aware that the germanic tribes in contracy to their celtic neighbours never lived in cities during the roman timeframe.
So, the question for me is: How do you seize control of a province in those lands controlled by germanic tribes, if you can't capture a city?
The same could be said for some far eastern factions i think.
Additionally please make the gauls and germanics differ in their culture.
Starting with portraits for example (Rome I - i look at you) and the tech tree.

How are you going to model the Spartans? Realitically or more 300 like?
To be fair I don't care that much about accuracy, but some people do. What I would really like is this shield.

Look at that shield and tell me it isn't manly. Really worth of defending the greatest warriors of Greece.
Please do NOT base anything on europa barbarorum mod ... That was an overdone and at traits fanatically exageration of unit made up out of almoust no evidence o pseudohistory ... Use instead more reliable fonts like original books of the time and consult proper hstorians and specialists ....
Also please portray the difference in strenght between normal roman units and barbaric mass ... Nothing would turn the game into an antihistorical blob than giving superpowers or actually even an unit definition like for the romans or more civilized cultures to the barbarian factions .... Most of the time where just warbands ...
And please repect at least historical periods so to not see termopiae spartans fight vs late roman segmenta legions ... Or Ramses egyptians vs Caesarian romans ...

I have a question of the same order : Are the Gauls going to be depicted as a wealthy civilization with a strong level of advancement (artistic, architectural...), like they were historically, or are they going to be depicted as more archaic and primitive than the romans?
In other words, will their cities be comparable in Greatness to the carthaginians/romans/greeks... ones, for example.
How will motion capture affect the gameplay? In Shogun 2 Total war, it is understandable for you to use motion capture in large battles, as Katanas are designed for one-on-one duel.
If CA is going to make use of motion capture, will you guys be motion capturing how one mass of Hoplite fight another group of Hoplites?
The chances of Hoplites and phalanx falling out of their formation to engage in a duel is quite low, given that the unit would have routed if their formation is destroyed.
Is it better if CA abandon motion capture for RTW2?
By the way, I think CA or any Total war fan might be interested in reading this historian tried to construct the "face" of ancient battles.

Hey Jack, love how much effort you guys put into the community (can be more, defenitly, but its a good steph and a large steph beyond other game devs). A few questions;
1. Like MBA stated, the screenshot of the siege of Carthago was in-game you said, this means it will be generic since we can see the grand harbour of the city and the detailed walls. Will there be more detailed and cultured cities? Not just a city with right walls in this way : [] but more realistic walls/cities?
2. Will you guys have more mod-support directly from the beginning? I'm thinking of the multiplayer battle map editor for FOTS/Shogun 2. And will you release parts of the game code?
3. What's CA's goal for Rome 2? Making a - holywood/movie game like we saw in the trailer (liked the trailer), or will it go to realism hardcore for the history geeks like us..
Please CA take your time. I loved Fall of the Samurai and find the campaign and defenitly the multiplayer one of the best in the series. Bring us Rome 2, a game that we can play over 10 years and still like it. I trust in ya CA!

Good to hear. There was unit diversity in Rome 1, but lol, please no screaming womens or other of those weird units. And please give barbarian factions more realistic abilities like better ambushes etc.A question I can answer now (being unit design lead and all). There will be a lot of diversity between the various 'Barbarian' factions. Certainly based in history![]()
