I hope that music in the campaign map will be better than Rome, but Rome had good music too. And one thing, I want this song to stay in the Rome 2

Also they can add some sound effect in the campaign map when you zoom grassy lands, forests, deserts, cities etc.

While I would personally prefer an entirely new soundtrack, I wound't mind some updated samples of old RTW songs appearing in Rome II. I don't however, want any of it to be the exact same thing.

What the music will be like is too early to really speculate, but if they are having Jeff Van Dyck do the soundtrack, I'm sure all will be well.

Actually I don't really care if Divinitus will make it to the second game, for now, I just want to hear the full song of the 1 you hear during the last 20 seconds of the live action trailer.
As long as Jeff van Dyck did the soundtrack, I'm pretty sure the soundtracks will be great.

I agree with you, but it would be cool if they actually put some of the music from the original game into Rome 2 as it was really epic and special in its own way. And this song is just one example.

The melody is good, but he could have added an actual Latin text instead of "gratuitous Latin" (meaning random words to make it sound cool) with a heavy English accent.

Yes and make sure they are European ambient sounds this time, please. Hearing American or random other species in the background ruins the immersion for me when playing RTW and M2TW.

Please, have Latin voices in this game with music for each kind of area.

I want desert like music in the desert ad barbarian music up north.

Jeff van Dyck won't write the music for it. He is doing the soundtrack for Sega's Alien game at the moment and he also posted this on his official facebook page.

Nevertheless he wrote the music for the first trailer.

I wouldn't discard Jeff van Dyck just yet.

I would love to see Jeff Beal or Andreas Waldetoft team up with Jeff Van Dyck.

Did you recognize the new version of the old Rome theme at the end of the live action trailer? I loved it! The original Rome soundtrack was in my opinion quite crude compared to the amazing soundtrack in Napoleon, but since we have heard it so much through our countless hours of playing Rome, using elements of the old soundtrack in a new and more professional album, along with some new songs, is the perfect way to go, bringing up nostalgic feelings.

The music for the original Rome was excellent.

I would not object to a chunk of it appearing in the sequel.
