Monitor losses it's " connection" with PC and shows nothing .

did you do it while it was still turned on lol, no i kid

whats the specs on the already installed ram, and whats the specs on the new ram

    aka DDR / DDR2 or DDR3. is the memory 667 / 800 / 1066/ 1333 / 1600 mhz etc etc

that said when installing ram it should be matching pairs otherwise it wont work in dual channel or can cause problems 2x 2GB or 2x 4GB works fine or if you have 4 slots filled 2x 512 and 2x 1GB works etc but 512 and a 1gb or 2gb + 4gb can cause problems on some motherboards. Some boards cannot boot with more than 4gb installed period.

I removed the 2GB and added 4GB , again the monitor has " no signal " which greatly frustrates me .

Does your motherboard support 4gb sticks? Some don't.

    Apparently this motherboard doesn't support Transcend's 4GB RAM . That's very annoying .

brand doesnt matter, most brand use Memory ICs from Samsung, Nanya, Micron, Elpida etc when get used by everyone aka Corsair Gskill Transcend etc.

try with the 2GB stick, i see your board uses DDR2 or DDR3 was the 2GB stick a DDR2 stick? and the 4GB ddr3 or vice versa because if it was it could have fried the memory slots or done damage, if both sticks are the same DDR2 or DDR3, did you force one into the wrong slot? (ive actually seen this done where someone forced DDR2 into a DDR slot.

is your CPU an AM2 / AM2+ model or is it AM3 ? the info you have given us is ridiculously small and we have to guess whats going on. Which is extremely slow and time consuming when tracking down the issue at hand
